About me

“Plans are nothing. Planning is everything.” – Albert Einstein

Hi! I’m Kayla. I was born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA., a small beach town about 65 miles south of San Francisco. I first fell in love with event planning during my college years. I was part of a small student-run production company, who planned, marketed and ran electronic dance music events for students on and off campus.

My love for event planning continued into my post college life. I realized most people love to go to events, but few people want to plan them. For me, planning events is fun! The sense of accomplishment of throwing a memorable event is unmatched. In 2018, I planned my first 3-day music campout in Northern California. I led the operations for this event, ensuring a safe and memorable time for the 150 attendees.

In 2019, during my time at ironSource, I was given the opportunity to transition from account management to events management, an opportunity to do what I love professionally. In this new role, I quickly achieved success. With my extensive knowledge of the company and internal business workings, I had a vision of how to make our events even more successful. I couldn’t be happier with my choice to join the global marketing team as the US events manager.

After leaving ironSource/Unity in January 2023, I started my own consulting business. I quickly found clients by utilizing my network I had built over the 10+ years I spent in the mobile ad tech industry,

The Sunset district in San Francisco has been my home for the last 10 years and I love it! When I’m not planning events in my professional or personal life, I love to travel, listen to live music, take care of my 30+ house plants, and snuggle with my cat, Luna.
